This afternoon a Wake County judge will rule on challenges to annexation reform made by five North Carolina cities: Wilmington, Fayettville, Kinston, Goldsboro and Lexington.
Raleigh Mayor Charles Meeker is their attorney and Wilmington Mayor Bill Saffo led this coalition to prevent petitions from Monkey Junction refusing annexation from being reviewed by the New Hanover County Board of Elections this week.
You have rights now. Tell these mayors that non-residents will no longer be drawn into their cities without consent simply so they can collect more tax money.
